Maximizing Five Cents: YES, Recipient of Whole Foods Market’s Nickels for Nonprofits Program

How far can five cents go? YES will soon know the answer to this question.

Selected out of a pool of other worthy nonprofits, YES is the 2019 recipient of Whole Foods Market’s (WFM) Nickels for Nonprofit Program,. This opportunity, starting July 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019, is designed to encourage shoppers to use eco-friendly bags and to donate their five-cent credit to YES. The use of reusable bags not only helps decrease plastic pollution, but it also allows customers to support YES’ programs. As such, the Program proves to be beneficial in a multitude of ways.

YES’ Media Team, also known as The Heem Team, is heading this marketing effort to ensure WFM customers are familiar with YES’ work in the community and the students YES serves. Every Friday, they make it their business to connect with shoppers and valued customers to share the unique opportunity they have to give back and pay-it-forward.

YES is extremely grateful for the opportunity to be featured in all regional WFMs. We are also proud to partner with such an esteemed establishment and to gain funds to support our wellness programming.
